Jeric Gonzales bags Best Lead Actor award at Saskatchwan International Film Festival in Canada
Major congrats to Jeric Gonzales for bagging the Best Lead Actor award at Canada's recently concluded Saskatchwan International Film Festival (SIFF).
He is recognized for his work in "Broken Blooms," which took home a total of eight major awards from the SIFF, including Best Director (Louie Ignacio) Best Actress (Therese Malvar), Best Supporting Actress (Jacklyn Jose), Best Supporting Actor (Boobay), Best Cinematography, and Best Musical Score.
On Instagram, Jeric was ecstatic over his fifth best actor award, saying "5 and counting! Thank you, Lord!"
He congratulated their award-winning team, and thanked Direk Louie for the opportunity "na binigay niyo sa akin and sa guidance and motivation para magawa ang napaka ganda at makabuluhan na pelikula na ito."
"Without you Direk hindi ko po magagawa lahat ito," he added.
Jeric's recognition at SIFF comes at the heels of the Tagore International Film Festival, the Mokkho International Film Festival, and the 17th Harlem International Film Festival, which all recognized him as best actor for the same movie.
"Broken Blooms" will finally hit Philippine theaters on December 14.
