Rain Matienzo reacts to comments praising her portrayal of Salome in 'Maria Clara at Ibarra'
Rain Matienzo is over the mood with the feedback she's been getting after "Maria Clara at Ibarra" introduced her character Salome.
In a TikTok video, the Kapuso host and actress thanked those who said the role is "swak" for her and that she portrayed the character well.
"Kinakabahan ako simula nag-taping kami hanggang umere, kasi hindi ko alam if magugustuhan ba ng mga tao, and ‘yung nga, first time ko mag-drama," she said.

Although she said she's new to this, she revealed that she's always wanted to be part of a historical drama.
She fell in love with Salome when she read the script.
“Sobrang ganda and sobrang lalim ng meaning ng chracter niya. And just to be someone na sinulat ni Dr. Jose Rizal, diba?" she said.
"Thank you so much, this is a dream come true for me, it’s an achievement," she added.
Salome is the love interest of Elias in the missing chapter of "Noli Me Tangere," which Dr. Jose Rizal removed from the final manuscript due to lack of funds.
Titled "Elias at Salome," new editions of the novel now contain the chapter in the appendix, so students who read Noli in high school are familiar with Salome.
"Maria Clara at Ibarra" airs on GMA Telebabad weekdays after "24 Oras." It is also livestreamed on GMANetwork.com/KapusoStream. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
