Rain Matienzo once manifested to be part of a historical series

Hard work, belief in oneself, and manifestation work — just ask Rain Matienzo.

Before she was an actress, Rain was a broadcast communication student who found success on TikTok as Conyo Girl.

In a Tweet, Rain shared how her showbiz dreams became a reality, sharing an Instagram Stories she wrote on November 30, 2021.

In her Stories post, Rain wrote some late-night thoughts while at a lock-in taping for her first series. “Since acting is so new for me, napaka sarap mangarap,” she said at that time.

“I was just thinking about how nice it would be na makapag supporting role sa historical film/series,” Rain added.

“Like legit I have dream projects and most are hosting certain shows pero finally nangarap na ko higher with acting rather than just going with the flow.”

On Twitter, Rain said her dream "came true exactly a year later.” She made her first appearance on “Maria Clara at Ibarra” as Salome, the love interest of Elias on November 28.

“Salamat sa lahat ng nag mahal kay Salome sa #MariaClaraAtIbarra!” Rain added.

She then thanked her bosses and management. “Yung mga sigaw ko sa kawalan nagiging katotohanan since I joined @Sparkle_GMA.”

“Salome” became a trending topic on Twitter Philippines when the episode aired, and fans were overjoyed that the character appeared in the series.
