On Instagram, the “Eat Bulaga” mainstay host posted a throwback photo of himself with some of the original cast of GMA’s noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga.”

Among the “original Dabarkads” seen in the photos were Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Paolo Ballesteros, Janno Gibbs, Wally Bayola, Allan K, Jose Manalo, and the late Francis Magalona, among others.

“You can close your eyes to reality but not to memories,” Joey wrote in the caption.

“Eat Bulaga” premiered on GMA in 1979. On its 43rd anniversary last July, Coney Reyes had a short but sweet return on the noontime show’s stage.

Meanwhile, “Eat Bulaga” welcomed a new batch of “Dabarkads” such as Maja Salvador and Miles Ocampo , alongside other mainstay hosts Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon. —Hermes Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
