Michael V. unexpectedly makes hearts ache with his take on 'Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw'
Be it laughter or pain, the true King of Philippine Parody never fails to get a reaction from his audience.
In the second half of the “Bubble Gang” 27th anniversary celebration dubbed #BGVenti7, Michael V. finally shared his version of the trending song “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.”
Titled “Gusto Ko Nang Bumigay,” Bitoy sings about being a closeted member of the LGBTQ+ community, who wants to come out and live life as his true self. It was an unexpected move from the actor’s usual comedic parodies.
The Kapuso creative shares some painful lyrics as he dons different dresses plus a mermaid outfit, a possible reference to the song dedicated to the LGBT community, “Sirena.”
Fans in the comments section shared their appreciation for the creativity of the video as well as the parody’s statement.
“Comedy pero may kurot sa puso. Ang galing, grabe. Yung lyrics, transitions (props to the editor), at syempre yung execution at pagkanta ni Sir Bits — napaka-creative at talented na tao talaga,” one user said.
“Still the unbeatable king of PH Parody! From comical lyric composition to execution, it never becomes 'corny.' Basta Bitoy, hindi baduy! Thanks Michael V. for making our childhood fun and unforgettable, up until now. LEGEND!” another netizen said.
