Yen Santos thanks Paolo Contis after winning Best Actress in Gawad Urian

Yen Santos thanked her "A Faraway Land" co-star Paolo Contis after winning the Best Actress award at the Gawad Urian on Thursday.

After receiving her trophy, Yen expressed her gratitude to Mavx Productions, film director Veronica Velasco, and the film's staff and crew.

She also thanked Gawad Urian and Paolo, who played the reporter Nico Mercado in the film. Nico ended up falling in love with her character Majoy.

"Of course, to my leading man Paolo Contis, sobrang talented, napakagaling na artista. Maraming-maraming salamat sa iyo. I'll always be your number one fan," Yen said.

Last year, the actress's name was dragged into Paolo's breakup with LJ Reyes when she and the actor were spotted in Baguio.

Paolo later released a statement admitting to having a third party, but he also cleared Yen of involvement.

"She was never the reason of our break up. I was. Kung matagal na kaming hindi okay ni LJ, it was mainly because of me," he said.
