Rocco Nacino to appear as Elias soon in 'Maria Clara at Ibarra'

Rocco Nacino will soon be making his debut in "Maria Clara at Ibarra" as Elias!

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Monday, his very first scene is something that viewers should look forward to.

Based on the teasers, Elias will appear at the picnic with Ibarra, Maria Clara, and the rest of the gang. He will also have a scene with Padre Damaso. 

"Action-packed ang pag introduce [kay] Elias at maraming-maraming salamat kay Direk Zig sa pag conceptualize ng eksena," Rocco said.

("The introduction for Elias is action-packed and thank you very much to Direk Zig for conceptualizing the scene.")

The actor said Elias is different from the other characters in the series. He said he discussed how to portray his role with Director Zig Dulay.

"Ang naging atake ko kailangan talagang makita ng mga Kapuso natin kung gaano ka seryoso, gaano ka misteryoso 'tong si Elias," he said.

("My approach is our Kapuso viewers really need to see how serious and mysterious Elias is.")

Readers of "Noli Me Tangere" would remember Elias as a fugitive who becomes Ibarra's ally in the novel.

"Maria Clara at Ibarra" airs on GMA Telebabad on weeknights after "24 Oras." It is also livestreamed on the GMA Network website.
