Valeen Montenegro, Chariz Solomon share what to expect from the 'Bubble Gang' 27th anniversary special

Even after 27 years of bringing non-stop laughter to the Filipino people, “Bubble Gang” isn’t going anywhere.

In fact, the team is preparing a big blowout to celebrate its 27th anniversary, with a special called #BGVenti7.

Valeen Montenegro and Chariz Solomon joked that they were not told what the name means.

“Pero ako, feeling ko venti kasi diba is the size of the kape we all know. And venti is the biggest and the grandest, so it’s something big for the 27th anniversary of Bubble Gang,” Valeen said.

Chariz said that as usual, they try to top what they did the year before.

“So, we do our best pero ito nga, so dahil 27th year, ito 'yung pinaka — ito 'yung present, so this is the biggest yet,” she said.

To present something different, the “Bubble Gang” team went out of the studio this year for filming. Chariz said the unnamed destination is a “napakagandang lugar and napakainit."

"Kaya sobrang nag-enjoy kami," she said.

Since they were able to celebrate together and in a different place, Valeen said, “it’s a mini celebration in itself na pwede na tayong bumalik sa normal.”

“Kumbaga maiparamdam namin sa mga viewers and supporters ng show na ito na, na we’re getting there. And nandito pa rin kami," she added.

The tandem looked back on last year’s celebration, where the show also had a show titled “Andito Pa Rin Kami,” written and performed by Michael V.

“Alam mo nire-recall ko 'yung kanta nun, naiiyak talaga ako,” Chariz said.

Valeen added, “Sobrang ang ganda nung song. I mean, if we recall, ang ganda nung pagkasulat ni Kuya Bitoy. Very nostalgic.”

To add to the anniversary special, the two shared that the show invited some internet superstars like Christian Antolin, Castro, Giefer Fernandez, Asian Cutie, Agassi Ching, and Jai Asuncion.
