Kylie Verzosa wins Best Actress for 'The Housemaid' in DIAFA 2022
Kylie Verzosa won Best Actress for her role in "The Housemaid" at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) 2022.
On Instagram, Saturday, the Miss International 2016 shared a video of her looking overjoyed after receiving the trophy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Wearing an elegant black gown, Kylie raised her trophy while receiving congratulations with a wide smile.
"Dream come true," she said. "Such an honor to represent you again [Philippines]."
"The Housemaid" is the Philippine adaptation of a Korean film of the same name.
Directed by Roman Perez Jr., it also stars Albert Martinez, Jaclyn Jose, Alma Moreno, Louise Delos Reyes, and Elia Ilano. It was released in 2021.
The story follows a nanny who was hired by a rich family to take care of their child, but she was also being watched by the kid's father.
