Herlene Budol's national costume fails to make it in one piece to Uganda

Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol is in distress due to issues with her national costume.

The beauty queen and comedienne is currently in Uganda to represent the Philippines in her first international pageant, Miss Planet International.

However, according to her post, the body of her national costume has yet to arrive.

“Pag dating ng [airport] ayaw ipakarga kesyo over size daw,” she said. “Then [no choice na rin] kami at hinayaan nalang namin [chinop-chop] nila at binaklas buong box.”

“Ang masaklap yung pinaka body ng costume hindi nakarating ng Uganda,” she added.

Herlene said that they have been waiting at the airport all day because they were promised that the costume would arrive at nighttime.

“[Pero] 2:30 a. m. na at wala na silang paramdam,” she said, calling on Ethiopian Airlines for help.

Before flying out to Uganda, Herlene asked for guidance from her late grandmother for her pageant journey.

She previously placed first runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas and bagged seven special awards.
