Maine Mendoza addresses rumors that she and Alden Richards are married and have kids

After figuring in the wildly successful AlDub love team, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards are now on their own solo and successful career paths. 

But in an interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, the “Eat Bulaga” host said there were still a handful of fans who still believe she and Alden are together, married, and have kids!  

“Meron pa rin po na hanggang ngayon, kumakapit pa rin do'n. So yon yung hindi ko rin ma-tolerate,” she said.

And although she tried calling them out already, “ayaw po talaga nilang maniwala.”

Maine then said, “I will take this chance.”

She said, “Yung iba hanggang ngayon, kapit na kapit sila na mag-asawa kami ni Alden, may anak na kami.”

Maine said that there are lots of people she privately messaged on Twitter, “to tell them na ‘wala pong katotohanan.’”

However, although she already does it personally and from her official account, they still do not believe her.

“Ang reply pa rin nila sa ‘kin, ‘hindi si Maine yan. Admin yan ng account ni Maine. May asawa na si Maine, may anak na si Maine.’”

According to the Phenomenal Star, she came to the point where she got tired of explaining. “And I don’t think there’s something that I can do para sa mga taong ito. So wala na kong magawa.”

When Maine confirmed her her relationship with actor Arjo Atayde back in 2019 and this year announced their engagement, she knew she disappointed a lot of fans. 

While a lot have accepted that AlDub is really just for the screen, there were others who have stopped supporting them, which for Maine, “is totally okay lang din naman.”

For her, it’s much better for people to know the truth early on. 

“Alam ko na by telling the truth, masasaktan sila. Pero by leading them on, mas masasaktan din sila.”

For Maine, she's rather be real than lead others on.

“Ayoko lang ng parang manloloko ka ng tao para sa fame, sa money. Hindi po ako ganun kasi talagang tao," said the current Mega cover girl.

“Pwede naman tayong mag-enjoy, pwede naman tayo ma-entertain na alam natin yung katotohanan na wala tayong sinasaktan o dina-damage," she added.
