Danny Javier composed ‘Lahat Tayo’ 5 years ago, reveals music producer Lorrie Ilustre

News of Danny Javier's untimely demise swept headlines on Monday.

On social media Tuesday, music producer Lorrie Ilustre shared an unreleased song by the APO Hiking Society member called "Lahat Tayo." It's a bittersweet song about death, featuring Javier's vocals "roughly sang" on his Facebook page. Ilustre also shared the video of "Lahat Tayo" on video, featuring a clip of Javier singing the song.

In an online interview with GMA News Online, Ilustre revealed “Lahat Tayo” had been created awhile back.

“He composed the song five years ago but even before that, he was already having health issues,” Ilustre said on Messenger.

According to him, Javier "was fully aware of his mortality."

“Danny already knew for years that his health was failing," he said.

“He knew he was leaving but didn’t know when. He kept a positive outlook in life, which I think is his message,” Ilustre added.

“He expressed himself in music with lyrics infused with humor.”

Ilustre describes Javier as a soulful artist.

“He writes from his heart and soul. He is a storyteller and his melodies, lyrics, and ideas are so catchy that anyone can easily understand, relate to, and sing," he said.

Such is "Lahat Tayo," with its simple, hummable tune, witty and funny lines, and its large and deep message.

Ilustre said “Lahat Tayo” will soon be available on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

Javier’s daughter Justine confirmed last Monday that Danny passed away from “complications due to his prolonged illnesses.” He was 75 years old. — LA, GMA News
