Michael V. on 'Black Adam': 'Dwayne Johnson was born to play Black Adam'

Michael V. is one of the lucky few who saw "Black Adam" at its premiere last night, ahead of its opening today.

On social media, the comedian happily gave his unfiltered review saying the movie is "as expected," which is supposed to be a good thing.

"It IS a Dwayne Johnson movie: action! Explosion! Dry humor! And it's a good thing!" He began.

"It's actually a fun movie and gives a lot of promise for the DCEU," he added.

According to Bitoy, "Black Adam" has that early MCU movie feel while boasting the distinct DC flavor, with the Justice Society of America playing a big part.

But while it looked like Dwayne Johnson was born to play the character — "It took him 15 years to get here and you can tell his passion for the character in this movie," Bitoy said — there was a missed opportunity for an emotional arc for the character.

"Black Adam is 'too bad ass' for his own good so parang walang apparent danger for the character," he said, adding the movie featured a forgettable villain.

Still, the Kapuso comedian enjoyed the movie, seeing it on IMAX with his kids — an experience he highly recommends should you people be watching "Black Adam" this weekend. — LA, GMA News
