Maxene Magalona after confirming she's single: 'Thank you, next!'
Maxene Magalona took to Instagram to share her thoughts on letting some relationships end shortly after she announced that she is “single and childless.”
Posting what looks like a wedding photo of herself, Maxene said people should choose where they put their efforts wisely.
“Life is short. We must only invest our time and energy in connections that are easy flowing and organic,” she wrote in the caption. "A love that grows and flows should never be forced.”
Having read “The Untethered Soul,” Maxene added: “The love that is naturally flowing between two people is the energy of God. And that is the kind of love that I believe in.”
As such, Maxene said she is thankful for her failed relationships as they also benefited her well-being.
“I understand that I had to go through all of them so I could determine for myself the soul connections that I want to keep and let go of the ones that don’t match my energy," she said.
“To all the souls I’ve crossed paths with in this lifetime, I give you my heartfelt thanks,” she added, along with the hashtags #TruthDay and #TruthFairy. “Thank you, next!”
Maxene also looked back on his father Francis Magalona’s death in 2009, saying it made her stronger.
“But what I didn’t realize back then which I now understand is that once you have already lost the most important person in your life, it makes you so strong and wise that it just becomes easier and clearer to end relationships, both romantic and non-romantic, that are not working or flowing anymore.”
This post came after Maxene posted a photo of herself having Korean dinner and regarded it as one of the “perks of being single and childless.”
The breakup rumors between Maxene and her husband Rob Mananquil first started in January. Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Maxene no longer followed Rob on Instagram and dropped his surname.
They tied the knot in 2018, first with a private church wedding followed by a ceremony in Boracay. —JCB, GMA News
