In the latest episode, the series takes a turn into the painful parts of “Noli Me Tangere,” where Padre Salvi is seen beating Crispin and Basilio with a wooden stick.
Salvi threatens the young sacristans to not tell anyone about the beatings, or else he will hurt their mother Sisa and put them all in jail.
The scene in which Salvi prays for forgiveness right after abusing Basilio and Crispin also angered netizens.
