Jennylyn Mercado to return to showbiz in early 2023, surprises Nelson Canlas on podcast

Jennylyn Mercado took a break from showbiz after giving birth to her daughter with Dennis Trillo, Baby Dylan, in May 2022.

But it looks like she is returning to the limelight very soon! 

In the latest episode of "Updated with Nelson Canlas," Jennylyn surprised Nelson Canlas with a quick greeting while he was interviewing her husband Dennis.

"May gustong mangamusta sa 'yo," Dennis told Nelson. "Ex-buntis, ang sexy na ngayon oh."

("Someone wants to catch up with you. Ex-pregnant woman, now sexy once again.")

Nelson then said that he missed Jennylyn and asked her when is she coming back to work. To which the Kapuso actress responded, "Malapit na [Soon].First quarter next year."

Jennylyn was working on "Love. Die. Repeat." last year when she realized she was pregnant with Dylan.

The taping had to be postponed as it was challenging for Jennylyn to continue taping in the early stages of her pregnancy. The actress thanked her GMA family for allowing her to finish the project once she is ready to work again.

Jennylyn and Dennis announced they were engaged and expecting a baby shortly after. They tied the knot two weeks later in November 2021.
