Ben&Ben's Paolo praises 'Maria Clara at Ibarra': 'Such a groundbreaking show'

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” had a very strong pilot week, with high ratings, rave reviews, and already a loyal fan following.

And apparently, one of those fans is Ben&Ben’s Paolo Benjamin!

The vocalist and guitarist took to Twitter to show his support for the show.

The tweet got both “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and Ben&Ben fans excited, with the replies filled with asking the band to maybe create a song for the series’ OST.

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” is commended for giving a classic story a modern twist, especially with how the country’s history plays a big role in the present. The series also openly discusses topics such as the rights of women, education, and labor, among many others.

The series airs on GMA Telebabad on Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m., and streams on the GMA Network YouTube channel, website, and app.
