Jeric Gonzales reveals being 'good friends' with Rabiya Mateo

After their relationship fizzled out some three months after going public, Jeric Gonzales says he and Rabiya Mateo have remained friends.

"After what happened, of course the controversies and the issues, nag-stay kami na friends, good friends," Jeric said in the latest episode of "Updated with Nelson Canlas."

If you'll recall, Jeric and Rabiya surprised everyone in March when they went Instagram-official with their relationship. But three months later, in June, it seemed the relationship fizzled out.

Also on Instagram, the two deleted their photos together, unfollowed each other, with Rabiya making cryptic remarks here and there.

Neither confirmed their breakup, so when Nelson asked Jeric if they had gotten back together, Jeric was hesitant to say.

"Ang hirap sabihin na nagkabalikan," he began. "Mas gusto lang muna namin sabihin na we're good friends and we support each other and we still have a good relationship as friends dito sa showbiz."

"Hindi kami yung nag-break as in wala na talaga, nag-away ganon. [But] we want it private na ganito lang na we're in good terms," he added.
