Ruru Madrid pens appreciation post for 'Lolong' fans

Ruru Madrid made sure to share his appreciation for "Lolong" fans after the series won the Gawad Pilipino Award for Best Primetime Serye.

On Instagram, Ruru posted a Reel of his Sugod Bahay visit where kids and their families chanted "Lolong" for him.

The Kapuso Action-Drama Prince said that the team created the program not just to provide entertainment, but to also shed light on what happens in our surroundings and environment.

("It feels good that the support and love we receive come from the whole family. Grandmothers and grandfathers, young men and women, married couples, even children.")

("I can't help but tear up every time parents send me pictures and videos of their children copying Lolong, the character I play.")

Ruru said that the show had gone through so many hurdles and that he had personal challenges to face, so he remains thankful that no one on the team gave up.

("From the bottom of my heart, I give my utmost gratitude to Gawad Pilipino awards for the Best Primetime Serye award. This is huge for everyone who worked on 'Lolong' because we feel the fruits of all our sacrifices.")

The actor added that this award will serve as inspiration for their team's work.

("Thank you so much to everyone who supports and loves our program because you are the reason why we did this. May you continue to support 'Lolong.'")

"Lolong" airs Mondays to Fridays on GMA Telebabad after "24 Oras."
