SEVENTEEN’s Joshua secretly celebrated Korean Holiday in the Philippines — report

Joshua Hong of Korean boyband SEVENTEEN was reportedly seen in Bonifacio Global City over the weekend to celebrate the Korean holiday Chuseok.

According to the Korean entertainment website Koreaboo, the singer was with his mother and that Filo CARATs, who came across him, kept mum by posting about it late on social media.

Among the tweets Koreaboo cited was from Aly (@forkoojin), who saw Joshua at a bar in Uptown Parade.

On Twitter, Aly described the experience as "so surreal," adding they were able to talk to Joshua some three nights ago at about 2-3am.

"We still actually can’t believe it!” the Twitter user wrote.

According to Aly, he, along with other Filo CARATs who met Joshua over the weekend, kept it a secret because the Korean star was enjoying his “private time with his mom.”

Twitter use RM (@rcachan), meanwhile posted an autograph of Joshua, which he got on Monday.

“Got to talked to Joshua last night and told him that I will see him again on October!” RM wrote with teary-eyed and crying face emojis.

“He is so kind, please,” the netizen added.

Of course many others Filo Carats turned FOMO with the sighting. Joshua Hong has been a trending topic on Philippine Twitter all through Wednesday. As of writing, it has nearly 60K tweets and counting.

It should be noted though that a simple look at Joshua Hong's Instagram account shows no trace of Manila, BGC, or the Philippines. His last post, a carousel of his time in New York City, posted on September 4.

Chuseok, also known as Hangawi, is a three-day holiday observed in South Korea for the Autumn Harvest Festival.
