Jaclyn Jose is not retiring from acting yet, manager clarifies

Jaclyn Jose is not yet retiring from show business, her handler Liza Costales  confirmed to GMA News Online in a text message.

“Hindi pa,” Liza said before confirming that yes, the veteran actress still has an existing contract with the Kapuso network.

“And also, happy [siya] sa GMA,” Liza added.

Jaclyn on Instagram early Thursday announced she is retiring from show business. "I am retiring, maraming salamat po. Masakit but I have to go," she wrote in in succeeding messages on the comment section of her post.

That same afternoon, however, she took down.

In a message sent to PEP, Jaclyn said she thought her contract with GMA had already expired, which was why she made the announcement.

Jaclyn's most recent appearance was on GMA's "Bolera" as Kylie Padilla's mom.
