Princess Punzalan cast in Fox’s ‘The Cleaning Lady’

Princess Punzalan has been cast as Alma De La Rosa, also known as “Lola,” in the Fox series “The Cleaning Lady.”

The actress made the announcement on Instagram Wednesday, recalling how she thought her acting career was over when she left the Philippines. 

Princess said it was when she watched the behind-the-scenes special of a show that she realized she still wants to continue her craft.

“I cried in front of the television because my heart ached to also have an opportunity to perform here in a different playing field. I only prayed for a one-time experience,” she said in her post.

“I just wanted to experience performing on camera in America. Looking back, I am so grateful because many people helped me to get me on my way,” she added.

Princess expressed thanks to everyone who stayed by her side, especially her husband Jay and the team behind “The Cleaning Lady.”

“The Cleaning Lady” stars Elodie Yung (Netflix's “Daredevil”) as Cambodian-Filipino doctor Thony De La Rosa, who “forges her own path in the criminal underworld, doing whatever she has to survive.”
