Super Junior arrives in Manila for 'Super Show 9' concert

Filipino ELFs, your faves are here!

Super Junior arrived in Manila on Friday night, according to an Instagram post by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The K-Pop legends will be holding their "SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR ER SUPER SHOW 9 : ROAD in MANILA" or #SS9inManila concert Saturday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

It is their sixth solo concert in the Philippines, following their December 2019 show at the same venue.

Unfortunately, member Siwon won’t be able to participate in tonight’s concert because he tested positive for COVID-19. Members Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhun will perform as scheduled.

Member Eunhyuk likewise was unable to join the rest of the group as his father passed away, the band announced earlier.

Part of the K-Pop industry’s second generation of idol groups, Super Junior is behind the hits “Sorry Sorry,” “Lo Siento,” and “Black Suit.”

The group released their comeback single and music video “Don’t Wait” on June 29, and their 11th album “The Road: Keep on Going” on July 12, which includes the track “Mango.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
