Herlene Budol reveals what she carried around with her throughout Binibining Pilipinas journey

It turns out that Herlene Budol had a collection of lucky charms with her during her pageant journey!

The newly-crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st Runner-Up shared in a TikTok video what she carried around with her throughout the competition.

Opening a small red pouch, Herlene presented a crucifix, a rosary, and a small figure of Sto. Niño.

"May basbas 'yan, kaya dinala ko dahil swerte 'yan," she said.

She also apparently held on to a banknote that she found in her late grandmother Nanay Bireng's closet.

Not only that — she also kept a torn piece of Nanay Bireng's old portrait with her.

"Habang lumalaban ako, kasama ko si Nanay, tapos pinag-pray ko, 'Nanay, kasama mo naman si Lord, sabihin mo sa kanya ibigay 'yung crown,'" Herlene said. "Kaya binigyan tayong crown!"

Herlene made waves after the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 coronation night, not just because she emerged as the 1st Runner-Up, but because she answered in Filipino during the Q&A portion.
