Derrick Monasterio, Elle Villanueva bare how they prepared for intimate scenes on ‘Return to Paradise’

Derrick Monasterio and Elle Villanueva are expected to deliver some pretty intimate scenes on “Return to Paradise.” Given this is their first time to work together, how did they prepare?

In an online interview with GMA News Online, Derrick said apart from workshop exercises, Elle’s trust on him made him feel more comfortable. According to him, he let her move at her own pace.

“Siguro she learned to trust me rin dahil sa moves ko sa kanya. Hindi siya moves na flirting. It’s more of really genuinely taking care of her and guiding her,” he said.

He added that Elle had the skills that guided him and allowed him to perform well.

“Sinasabi ko iyon sa kanya na, ‘alam mo, ang galing mo dito. Nadadala mo ako,’” he said.

“May ganon kaming connection na parang, wow, okay,” he added.

“She’s new. This is her second show pero gano’n na siya ka-intense, so ako, grabe rin iyong kailangan ko gawin. Kailangan ko rin mag-step up para makasabay sa kanya.”

True to what Derrick said, Elle said it was his actions that made her feel comfortable during their scenes.

“Noong ginawa na namin yung eksena na iyon, medyo nagulat ako kasi nadalian na ako,” she said. “Akala ko mahihirapan ako pero madali na siya, so many thanks to Derrick and the crew.”

Playing characters stranded on an island after a plane crash, Derrick and Elle said they would choose to be with each other if they found themselves in the same situation.

“Return to Paradise” also stars Teresa Loyzaga, Liezel Lopez, Eula Valdez, Karel Marquez, Allen Dizon, Paolo Paraiso, and Kiray Celis, among other actors. It premieres Aug. 1. – RC, GMA News
