Famas Awards 2022 unveils nominees

Famas Awards on Friday released its list of nominees for 2022.

Leading the entries is “Katips” with 17 nominations, including best picture, director, actor and actress; followed by “Big Night,” which has 13 nominations.

Also on the list are Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes, who is nominated best actor for “A Hard Day,” and Rita Daniela, who has received best actress and best original song citations for “Huling Ulan Sa Tag-Araw.”

The award-giving body recognizing cinema excellence announced that the 70th Famas Awards would be held July 30 at Metropolitan Theater.

“Discover this year’s acclaimed movies and topnotch performances from the Philippines’ biggest stars, as Famas recognizes the best with the grandest celebration of a lifetime, a milestone fitting for a platinum anniversary,” said its Facebook post.
