Jiggly Caliente hits back at bashers following 'Drag Queen Philippines' judge announcement

Jiggly Caliente took to Twitter to address those who reacted negatively to her being cast as a “Drag Race Philippines” judge.

In a Twitter post, the drag queen and actress said she understands that some wanted Manila Luzon to take the role.

Manila Luzon was tapped to host “Drag Den PH,” another local drag competition show which has yet to announce a premiere date.

“She has her own show coming soon where you can [support,] love [and] glorify her there,” Jiggly said.

“Can I just have this moment," she added. "I'm not asking for much. I'm not asking you to accept the inevitable that I'm the judge on ‘Drag Race Philippines.’”

She also replied to a netizen that those who have been throwing hate are mostly Western fans of the show.

“[The] plight of a brown person trying to [maneuver] in the world is very apparent,” she said.

Another fan tweeted, “People who pit queens against each other don’t deserve your time or energy[.] I’m sure Manila would agree! Let’s celebrate both of you!”

Jiggly replied, “OMG yes both shows [and] queens can coexist with no drama. At the end of the day [it’s] not about either one of us but [it’s about] the Pinoy [q]ueens from both shows that's gonna show the universe how amazing Pinoy queens are.”

On her Instagram Stories, Manila also showed support for Jiggly, saying “[s]o proud of my sister.”

Jiggly became a drag legend after competing on the fourth season of “RuPaul's Drag Race” and the sixth season of “RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.” She also had a recurring role as Veronica Ferocity in the series “Pose.”
