During a trip to Boracay, Paul Salas asked Mikee Quintos to be his date for the GMA Gala Night

Talk about effort! Paul Salas pulled out all the stops to ask Mikee Quintos to be his date for the GMA Gala Night.

The couple recently went to Boracay to celebrate their anniversary, as shown in Paul's latest vlog.

In the video, the “Lolong” actor said that he wanted to ask Mikee to the Gala Night in a formal way and to see her reaction. He decided to ask her during a dinner date.

Before the surprise, the couple first enjoyed roaming Boracay and even went parasailing.

However, the Mikee has been noticing throughout the day that Paul had planned a surprise.

After their time outdoors, they had a romantic dinner at the hotel. When Paul got up and said he had to go to the restroom, he went in the wrong direction.

When he returned, he was carrying flowers.

“Meron ka pang paikot-ikot parang may surprise ah,” Mikee told him.

After greeting each other a happy anniversary, Paul expressed his nervousness, but finally asked, “Pwede ba kita maging GMA Gala date?”

Still surprised but definitely filled with kilig, Mikee said, "Yes!"

“Happy ako,” she added, smiling ear to ear.

Paul confirmed that he was dating Mikee during his guest appearance on “Mars Pa More” in May. The celebrity couple has been open about their relationship on social media since then.

The GMA Thanksgiving Gala will be held on July 30. Kapuso celebrities and executives are expected to attend, dressed to the nines, to mark and toast to GMA Network's 70th anniversary. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
