Overwhelmed by love, Maja Salvador cries happy tears on ‘Eat Bulaga’

Maja Salvador was not able to hide her emotions on Monday’s episode of “Eat Bulaga.”

On the new segment “Bida Next,” the talent search for the noontime show’s next host, long-time hosts Wally Bayola, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, and Allan K were saying their opening spiels about how “Eat Bulaga,” changed their lives.

All of a sudden, Maja hid behind Allan K. Apparently, the new Dabarkads had started crying.

“Sorry po, siguro sobrang overwhelmed lang ako last Saturday sa [Dancing Kween grand finals] segment na binigay ng ‘EB.’ And now, pine-present niyo ko na one of the Dabarkads, so parang nag-si-sink in bigla,” an emotional Maja expressed.

The Queen of the Dance Floor’s tears just kept coming, and the hosts comforted her.

Allan K explained, “Kung di niyo kasi alam, pangarap ni Maja talaga ‘to na natupad, ngayon emotional siya.”

Maja added, “From bata na nakikinood lang sa kapitbahay, fan ng Little Miss Philippines—and now nandito, binigyan ng segment. Grabe yung love and support na binibigay. Tapos itong may segment pa ng ‘Bida Next,’ parang parte ng Dabarkads talaga.”

The actress, dancer, and host was launched as an “Eat Bulaga” host in 2021 but has been a fan of the longest-running noontime show since childhood. Maja dedicated her first performance to her mom, who is also a fan of the show. — LA, GMA News
