After 'disengaging' from Callalily, Kean Cipriano holds sold-out show
A little over a week after Kean Cipriano announced his “disengagement” from Callalily, he held a solo show at Winford Manila Resort & Casino on Saturday.
On Instagram, the actor-musician expressed gratitude for his most recent show, which was sold out.
“Thank you all for coming last night!” Kean began.
The OC Records CEO admitted he was nervous about performing independently, especially with all the issues being thrown at him surrounding his leaving Callalily.
“Oftentimes, people will loosely label you as selfish for choosing what’s best for you. Let them negate their world. I continue to eat judgment for breakfast,” he added.
At this point in his career, Kean advised to “never let outside noise steer you away from what your soul is saying. Move if you must, jump if need be.”
He thanked all his supporters who came to support him in his show and said that he was “truly grateful” to each person who came through.
“Sobrang sarap ng tugtog kagabi. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung pagmamahal. Can’t wait for the next one,” Kean ended.
Last year, Kean confirmed that Callalily was “done,” and that he was disengaging himself from the band after 17 years. — LA, GMA News
