Viral crocodile spotted in Metro Manila is Dakila, the animatronic crocodile in 'Lolong'

Have you seen posts about the huge crocodile spotted in Antipolo, Marikina, Pasig, and Mandaluyong?

It's actually Dakila, the animatronic crocodile in upcoming Kapuso action-adventure series "Lolong."

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Saturday, the crocodile was tied up on a truck and curious motorists flocked together to see it up close.

The surprise parade reached its last stop in GMA Network Center in Quezon City, where "Lolong" star Ruru Madrid posed for a photo with his reptile sidekick.

Dakila is the "highest paid actor" of the series. His body is made of fiberglass and his skin is made of silicone. Fourteen people are needed to operate his hydraulic system and make him move.

"Lolong," which also stars Shaira Diaz, Arra San Agustin, Paul Salas, Jean Garcia, and Christopher De Leon, among others, will premiere on GMA-7 on July 4.
