‘Lolong’ lead star Ruru Madrid meets...Lolong!
Ruru Madrid visited the National Museum of Natural History for “Lolong,” hailed as the largest saltwater crocodile in the world before it passed in 2013. It measured at 6.17 meters or 20.3 feet.
The Kapuso Action-Drama Prince is seen posing alongside the museums' popular crocodile exhibit.
Captured in September 2011 in the Agusan Marsh, Lolong was named after crocodile hunter Ernesto "Lolong" Goloran Cañete, who died of a heart attack in search of the animal.
Meanwhile, Lolong is also the name of Ruru’s character in GMA’s upcoming primetime adventure serye. The action-packed series centers on the unusual friendship between Lolong and a giant crocodile named Dakila.
Dubbed “ang bagong bayani na lalaban para sa atin” that the Filipino audience will soon meet, “Lolong” premieres on the GMA Network on July 4.
