‘Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy ang Kwento’ to premiere June 11; cast happy with show’s return

“Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy ang Kwento” is set to premiere on June 11 and the cast members are excited to be back!

During a media conference on Tuesday, Michael V., Manilyn Reynes, and the rest of the “Pepito Manaloto” cast members expressed their excitement over the new season and their return to taping.

“Nothing can stop us now,” said Michael V., who plays the titular character. He will be helming the series’ third book following the death of director Bert de Leon.

The cast members of the long-running sitcom, some of whom had been working with each other for over a decade, said they missed each other when they went off-air for two years.

“Iba kasi ’yung samahan namin kasi family talaga,” said Manilyn, who plays Pepito’s wife Elsa.

“Excited kami bumalik at sobrang gigil kami ngayon,” said Chariz Solomon, who plays Janice.

According to Bitoy, “Pepito Manaloto” Book 3 will backtrack a bit and tackle why their story stopped and how it will continue.

Before “Tuloy ang Kwento,” the “Pepito Manaloto” series introduced its origin story with “Ang Unang Kuwento,” which starred Sef Cadayona as the young Pepito together with Mikee Quintos and Kokoy de Santos, among other cast members.

“Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy ang Kwento” features returning cast members including Bitoy, Manilyn, Jake Vargas, Angel Satsumi, John Feir, Ronnie Henares, Arthur Solinap, Mosang, Janna Dominguez, Chariz Solomon, and Jen Rosendahl.
