‘Aling Maliit’ Ryzza wishes to be called just Mae Dizon from now on

Now that Ryzza Mae Dizon is at the peak of her teenage years, she hopes to update her screen name.

On the May 28 episode of “Eat Bulaga,” the then Aling Maliit was asked by co-host Allan K if she wanted to be called something else now that she’s older.

“Nakakapanibago pa ring tawagin kang Ryzza Mae Dizon kasi dalaga ka na. Kung ikaw ang pamimiliin ng bago mong pangalan ngayong dalaga ka na, anong gusto mong itawag na namin sa’yo?” he said.

To which, Jose Manalo joked that Ryzza Mae could be called “Manang,” which the young lady didn’t like. “Huwag ‘yon, Kuya Jose!” she said.

“Dati ko pa po iniisipn’to kasi inaantay ko po talaga ’tong panahon na ’to. Gusto ko po tawagin na akong Mae Dizon,” said Ryzza.

After her announcement, the Dabarkads including Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, and Miles Ocampo celebrated by dancing around with her.

However, Ryan said Ryzza Mae’s name change request was still up for approval. In any case, sharing her wish is already a good start!

Ryzza Mae returned to the “Eat Bulaga” studio on May 28 after two years. In a YouTube vlog, the child star shared how her day went.

She is turning 17 this month. Last year, her sweet 16 came as a shock to many fans as they realized how much time had gone by.

Just to refresh your memory: the then bite-sized television host who became known as the cute and lovable “Aling Maliit” won Little Miss Philippines in 2012.

After she won, she joined the “Eat Bulaga” family and became the youngest TV talk show host with “The Ryzza Mae Show.” – RC, GMA News
