GMA to launch first-ever showbiz podcast with Nelson Canlas

Showbiz fans, you’re in for a treat!

GMA News and Public Affairs will launch a new podcast on showbiz and it will be hosted by GMA showbiz reporter Nelson Canlas.

“Updated with Nelson Canlas” is about anything and everything showbiz. Nelson will be interviewing the most prominent names and influencers in the Kapuso network — from rising stars to the industry’s household names.

It will air its pilot episode on Friday, May 6.

Since it will be the first showbiz podcast in GMA, “Updated with Nelson Canlas” will bring fresh content to GMA News and Public Affairs’ portfolio. Expect laid-back, fun, and revealing interviews as it will just be a free-flowing conversation with Nelson and the podcast’s guests.

As of this writing, the GMA network has several podcasts, such as The Howie Severino Podcast, Share Ko Lang, The Mangahas Interviews, and Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel, which are programs dedicated to a wide range of topics in politics, lifestyle, culture, and mental health.

“Updated with Nelson Canlas” will air on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and other streaming platforms starting on May 6, 2022, with new episodes every Friday. — LA, GMA News
