Rabiya Mateo does a triumphant little dance after a smooth delivery of her first 'Chika Minute' lead-in
Rabiya Mateo may always be poised and put-together whenever we see her, but on Instagram Wednesday, Sparkle showed a cute little candid side to the Miss Universe 2020.
Shortly after her smooth delivery of her very first "Chika Minute" lead-in on 24 Oras last night, Rabiya did a little celebratory dance, flailing her arms up in the air, jumping in her heels, and applauding herself.
Rabiya would later on cup her pretty face, as she relished in her triumphant debut.
"So blessed to be the guest Chika Minute anchor yesterday in 24 Oras," she wrote on Instagram, where she posted photos and videos of her debut.
"It’s so exciting and refreshing to do something new outside your comfort zone. Forever thankful to all the people who continue to believe in me and see my potential," she added.
Among the photos Rabiya shared was one with her boyfriend Jeric Gonzales, who was present in the studio. In the comments section, he reiterated his moral support. "Proud of you always, Jeric wrote.
Speaking to GMA Entertainment, Rabiya narrated how she brought up hosting as something she'd like to do in GMA-7.
"A few days after noong meeting, na-pitch in na 'to na may possibility na I can do a segment for Chika Minute. Kaya hindi ko po sasayangin yung opportunity," Rabiya said, who added she watched old videos of Iya Villania to prepare and really learn the ropes.
"Yung spiel na binigay nila sa akin, pina-practive ko talaga siya para at least hindi siya foreign s akin. Parang muscle memory na rin, kumbaga," she added.
