Kyline Alcantara says working with Nora Aunor helped her get lost in her character
Kyline Alcantara has revealed that working with Nora Aunor is both a challenge and a privilege.
On “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel,” the Kapuso actress recalled how it was like to do a scene alongside the veteran actress on the concluded GMA show “Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit.”
Kyline said it had always been her dream to act with Nora, so she made sure to always give it her 100%.
She also mentioned the Superstar’s iconic expressive eyes, which immediately set the tone for their work on set and helped her get lost in her character.
“Si Ms. Nora, titingnan ka lang niya, nangangain na agad siya,” said Kyline.
“Totoo po pala talaga na ’pag tiningnan ka ni Ms. Nora, mawawala ka sa sarili mo. It’s because of her eyes,” she added.
“’Yung eyes niya po talaga, it’s sparkling. Ang daming nangyayari sa mata niya,” she said, adding that she once had to remind herself, “tao rin ’yang si Ms Nora.”
Being in the industry for years now, Kyline said she was grateful for the chance to work with showbiz veterans who had been generously sharing their knowledge.
“Lahat po sila nakapagbigay sa akin ng warm welcome kapag nasa set po kami,” she said, adding that sometimes they’re even the ones initiating the conversation.
Kyline is currently on a break from teleseryes, but she is pursuing other projects. Her most recent series with GMA-7 was “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.” – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
