Julie Anne San Jose, Jessica Villarubin, Xian Lim to perform in GMA Pinoy TV's Expo 2020 Dubai event

Julie Anne San Jose, Jessica Villarubin, and Xian Lim are heading to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the Expo 2020!

In a media conference on Wednesday, the three said they are grateful to GMA Pinoy TV for the opportunity to perform abroad again after two years of limited events due to the pandemic.

Dubbed "Stronger Together," the event will showcase the musical talents of the three Kapuso stars, who are all looking forward to meet the Filipino community in Dubai.

"We're all looking forward to seeing each other after a very long time tapos s'yempre definitely 'yung mga kababayan natin, 'yung mga fellow Kapuso natin, namimiss na rin nilang alam mo 'yun makapanood din ng mga live concert, mga live shows," Julie Anne said.

("Our countrymen, our fellow Kapuso, definitely they also miss watching live concerts and live shows.")

Jessica, who is performing abroad for the first time, said she is excited to be able to sing in front of a huge audience after winning "The Clash" amid the pandemic.

"'Di po ako makapaniwala talaga nung nalaman ko na makakasama ko si Xian Lim saka si Miss Julie Anne," she said.

("I cannot believe it at first when I found out that I will be with Xian Lim and Miss Julie Anne.")

Xian, who has been a Kapuso for a few months now, quipped that he thought he should practice vocalizing when he heard he would join Julie Anne and Jessica in the event.

He also said it is extra special to perform in front of Filipinos and inspire them as the world slowly returns to normal after two years of enduring the pandemic.

"What GMA is doing is such a wonderful thing and I'm sure lahat ng mga kababayan natin doon matutuwa sila [all of our countrymen there will be overjoyed]," Xian said.

"Stronger Together" will be held at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre on March 30, with doors opening at 8 p.m. and the show starting at 9 p.m.
