Gina Alajar to play lola who helps Good Boy on ‘Start-Up’ adaptation
Gina Alajar to is set to play the lola who will be helping Good Boy on the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama “Start-Up”!
As reported by Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” Tuesday, the veteran actress will play Mrs. Choi, who comes to the aid of Good Boy or the character in the original series named Han Ji Pyeong.
According to Gina, playing a kind character will be a challenge for her after doing several villain roles.
“That would be the challenge, Nelson, kasi doing kontrabida roles for so long, siyempre my facial muscles are iba na, kasi laging nakasimangot, laging galit, laging nanggigigil,” she said.
“While of course the character of lola ay gentle and understanding, madali siyang magtiwala at magmahal sa tao.”
Also revealed to be included in the series was multi-awarded actor Royce Cabrera, who had expressed his gratitude for being part of the drama.
“Sobrang privileged at sobrang thankful sa blessing at opportunity na dumating na ito. Kaya ’di ko talaga sasayangin ang pagkakataon na ito,” said Royce.
Meanwhile, “Bubble Gang” mainstays Kim Domingo and Boy 2 Quizon said their characters would be adding “color” to the story.
“Feeling ko kami ’yung magbabalanse nung mga mabibigat na eksena,” said Kim.
“Kahit umatake naman ako ng seryoso matatawa rin naman sila eh,” said Dos. “And definitely I’m really excited to work with Alden.”
The local adaptation of “Start-Up” features Alden Richards, Bea Alonzo, Jeric Gonzales, and Yasmien Kurdi. Their characters are yet to be revealed. – RC, GMA News
