Vilma Santos reveals the most important roles she's ever played

Vilma Santos is the first guest of new pocast "Surprise Guest with Pia Archangel" and she makes for an interesting conversation — or listen.

With 60 years of showbiz experience, not to mention her years as a public servant, Ate Vi's life is a wealth of stories. 

On the pod, Pia asked her what for her are the most iconic roles she's ever played.

"I'm lucky enough be able to do iconic roles like Darna and Dyesebel," the Star for All Seasons tells Pia.

But for Ate Vi, "the tuning point of my career na na-consider ka na na artista was when I did 'Burlesque Queen.' Sabi nila doon ako nakilala o na-acknowledge bilang isang artista."

According to Ate Vi, Doing "Burlesque Queen" is a good example of what a "smart decision" is.

"Smart work. Na pinag-iisipan, what's next. Ano yung pupwede pang ma-enchance pa yung career mo for longevity para hindi naman ikaw stagnant o kinasasawaaan," she said.

Finally, Ate Vi mentions roles that put forward women empowerment. "Like I was able to do 'Sister Stella L,' 'Bata Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa,' 'Dekada '70,' 'Anak,' 'Relasyon,' playing a role of a mistress where, modesty aside, I won my first grand slam."
