Luz Fernandez passes away at 86

Veteran actress Luz Fernandez has passed away. She was 86 years old.

Her granddaughter Celestine Trinidad shared the news on Twitter Saturday, sharing details about Luz’s wake at the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Marikina.

“My grandmother passed away today. It’s been a long day and we’ve been busy with arrangements that I didn’t have time to say anything about it here until now,” she said.

Celestine said Luz’s interment would be on March 9 (Wednesday). The time would be released soon.

Luz was mostly known for her role as Luka on “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko.” Among the GMA-7 shows she also appeared in included “Pepito Manaloto,” “Kambal Karibal,” and “Amaya.”
