Shayne Sava recalls Abdul Raman biked from Marikina to Pasig to bring her food

Abdul Raman literally went the extra mile for Shayne Sava.

Asked about their off-screen relationship, Shayne said in an online interview with the press that it is not really far from how they are on-screen. In fact, Shayne said Abdul's pretty sweet in real life.

"Nung naging close kami, nakita ko na ibang-iba po pala siya sa first impression ko kasi sobrang caring niya. Siya ata yung pinaka kilala ko na sobrang caring," she said.

["When we got close, I saw that he's very different from my first impression of him because he is so caring. He's the most caring person I know."]

According to the actress, Abdul would often ask if she already ate. Once, he even brought the food that he bought himself to her, which was definitely an A for effort for Shayne.

"'Kumain ka na ba? Papadalhan kita ng pagkain,'" she recalled Abdul telling her. "Sobrang thoughtful po talaga. Inorderan niya 'ko ng pagkain. From Marikina to Pasig, dinala niya sa 'kin, naka bike lang siya."

["'Have you eaten? I'll bring you food.' He's so thoughtful. He ordered food for me. From Marikina to Pasig, he rode a bike and delivered it to me."]

"Sabi ko, 'Hala, grabe 'yung effort niya for me.' Sobrang na-appreciate ko po talaga si Abdul," she added.

["I said, 'Wow, his really made the effort for me. I really appreciate Abdul."]

Shayne said Abdul also never failed to check on her when the COVID-19 pandemic was just starting.

"Tinatanong niya po ako lagi kung kamusta na po ako and sobrang naappreciate ko 'yon kasi pandemic no'n ta's wala kang kausap," she said.

["He always asks me how I am and I really appreciate that because it's the pandemic and we have no one to talk to."]

Abdul, meanwhile, said he chose to do all those to make Shayne a bit better during troubling times. He added that she is someone he values, so it was nice making her feel that way.

"Naisip ko lang kasi if I'm struggling then sure, nagsa-struggle din si Shayne. That's why I was regularly checking on her, making sure she's all right," he said.

["I thought if I was struggling then Shayne was also struggling for sure."]

Last Valentine's Day, Abdul surprised Shayne with a samgyupsal date with a gorgeous view in Antipolo.

"Alam n'yo naman si Shayne, tirador ng lahat ng [samgyupsal] sa buong Pinas, so I decided it would be the perfect place para dalhin siya ro'n," he said.

["You know Shayne, she goes to all the samgyupsal all over the Philippines, so I thought it would be the perfect place to take her there."]

"Ang hindi niya lang alam, meron akong dala sa kanyang flowers," he added. "I just find it sweet na cute ng ngiti, reaction niya when I got her the flowers."

["She didn't know, but I brought flowers for her. I just find it sweet that her smile and reaction were so cute when I got her the flowers."]

Shayne said Abdul was the first guy who took her out on the Day of Hearts and it was also her first time receiving flowers.

"Good food and good conversations," Shayne said. "Super enjoy and with Abdul pa."

Shayne and Abdul were introduced as one of the Sparkle sweethearts last week. They are set to give more kilig to viewers in the upcoming GMA-7 series "Raising Mamay."
