Bianca Umali says her HBO series ‘Halfworlds’ is in editing stage: ‘I’m so excited’

Bianca Umali's much-awaited fantasy thriller HBO series "Halfworlds" is almost here!

In an online interview with GMA press on Wednesday, the Kapuso actress said she was especially excited because the show was already in editing stage.

"It's been a very long wait," she told GMA News Online. "Tinatapos na lang nila 'yung editing and hopefully they get to air our series."

Although Bianca was aware of the pressure of headlining an international project, she also couldn't wait for audiences around the world to see it.

"It is very pressuring, but I don't see it that way," she said.

"It's more of just being excited na makita ng mga tao 'yung nagawa namin, 'yung excitement of being given the opportunity of being a part of such a wonderful project, an international project on HBO," she added.

"Just the thought of being on HBO is actually still surreal for me, pero I'm so excited na sana lumabas na 'yung series."

"Halfworlds" is a dark fantasy-thriller series on HBO Asia.

In 2019, it was announced that Bianca was cast as the heroine for Season 3 which will feature the rich world of Philippine mythology.

She is set to play Alex, a half-human and half-Engkanto who seeks to find the original source of a dwindling haven plant that will heal the Engkantos' thirst for human flesh. – RC, GMA News
