Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales test positive for COVID-19 in the US

Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales have announced that they have both tested positive for COVID-19 while in the US.

According to Charlene’s Instagram post on Wednesday, she first showed symptoms on December 30 and 31 but tested negative for COVID-19.

The actress said she went into isolation despite her negative test result.

A few days later, she “felt sick again” and her husband Aga also began to experience symptoms.

“We tested again & this time our tests came out positive,” she said.

“From then on, It was an up and down feeling of being sick & monitoring. One day, you're ok.. one day you're not... but we are so happy that we are making our path towards recovery,” she added.

Charlene said she and Aga went to the United States to spend Christmas with their son Andres.

Fortunately, Andres tested negative for COVID-19 and has since returned to Spain for school.

All three are fully vaccinated.

“Andres was with us during the holidays (he is fully vaccinated) & he isolated right away,” Charlene wrote.

“Andres tested negative in his PCR test, has no symptoms, was cleared by the doctor and was able to make it back to school safely in Spain. Andres is covid free,” she added.

Aga meanwhile only had grateful words for the medical professionals who took care of him and Charlene.

"Nothing but gratitude for these group of Filipino Medical professionals for taking care of me and my wife fight Covid! Maraming salamat," he said in an Instagram post.

Aside from Aga and Charlene, other celebrities who recently tested positive for COVID-19 include Arnold Clavio, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, Candy Pangilinan, Tuesday Vargas and more. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
