Faith da Silva reveals special reason she got starstruck with John Lloyd Cruz on set of ‘Happy ToGetHer’

Kapuso actress Faith da Silva said she was completely "starstruck" with John Lloyd Cruz when she appeared as a guest on his new sitcom "Happy ToGetHer," and she had an adorable reason why.

"I remember ... bata pa lang ako, napapanood ko na talaga si John Lloyd Cruz sa sinehan," she told GMA News' Nelson Canlas on Wednesday.

"It [was] the only time that me and my lola would go to the mall because nandun si John Lloyd at Bea Alonzo sa sinehan," she said.

"So, to be able to partner with him, it is such a huge privilege on my part."

Faith was apparently a huge JLC fangirl, and so was her grandmother who would even endure her aching knees to be able to watch him and Bea onscreen.

"Kasi, 'yung lola ko, medyo may edad na," said Faith.

"Sumasakit 'yung tuhod niya kapag malamig, but that's the only time that me and my lola would go to the cinema. 'Pag sila talaga 'yung  pinapalabas."

Faith recently got a chance to work with her movie crush on "Happy ToGetHer," and she was amazed by how pleasant yet professional he was on set.

"What I discovered about him is that palabiro siya pagdating sa kunwari hindi pa namin take, pero ... pag 'action' na, as in nag-iiba 'yung face niya, sobrang professional niya, tsaka ang gaan niyang maka-trabaho," she said.

Faith also took note of the way the iconic leading man treated his co-workers off-camera.

"Na-starstruck ako," she said.

"Kasi, pagkatingin ko sa kanya, ang tangkad niya tapos, syempre, cute siya -- hindi naman natin mapagkakaila 'yun --  at saka kung pano siya gumalaw sa set, kung [paano] siya makipagusap [at] makipaghalubilo sa mga tao. I really admire him for that."

John Lloyd Cruz made his big TV comeback on the GMA sitcom "Happy ToGetHer," which tells the story of a charming mechanic and proud single dad. The award-winning actor also sits as producer on the show. – RC, GMA News
