Andi Eigenmann shows damaged home after typhoon Odette, asks for more donations to Siargao
Typhoon Odette has wrought damage to many establishments and structures in Siargao, including the home and beach resort owned by actress Andi Eigenmann.
The island-based celebrity mom just shared photos of Greenhouse Siargao, where the huts and structures have been severely damaged.
Based on her Instagram Stories Sunday, Andi said she and her children were still in Manila and unable to go back to their home.
“Lilo (her daughter) has been asking to come home to our ‘upstairs house’ near ‘greamhouse,’ and this makes me feel the need to prioritize their well-being by being strong and not pass on the heavy feeling unto them,” she wrote.
Andi also said her fiance Philmar was "on his way back home with other volunteers.”
“He’ll be helping out with the team but staying behind for a bit to be with family there, and assure their safety,” she wrote.
“I hope he gets back to us soon.”
In the meantime, Andi reminded the public to donate what they can, to help the people of Siargao recover and rebuild their homes.
“Our home isn’t just our house. Our home is the island itself. Slowly we will rebuild. Slowly we will get back up again,” she said.
Super typhoon Odette first made landfall in and Siargao on December 16.
Both Andi and Philmar have taken to social media to ask for help and assistance as the typhoon ravaged the island, as well as other parts of Visayas and Mindanao. — LA, GMA News
