Xian Lim, Glaiza de Castro to play newlyweds in upcoming rom-com series 'False Positive'

Xian Lim and Glaiza de Castro are going to play newlyweds in the upcoming GMA series "False Positive."

In an online interview with the press last Thursday, the two lead stars said that the show will focus on the challenges of a newly married couple.

"[Yannie's] husband has different views and opinions sa dapat takbo ng marriage nila. Medyo merong conflict and we see how they get through those," Xian explained.

The Kapuso actress said one thing to look out for is that the show will also break gender stereotypes in a family.

"Walang hierarchy dito ng genders. Hindi porket lalaki ka, ikaw malakas, ikaw dapat 'yung sumusuporta sa pamilya mo at 'yung babae, nasa bahay lang," Glaiza said.

Although the topics seem to be pretty serious, Glaiza and Xian said the show will just be light, fun, and appropriate for all audiences.

While Xian plays Edward La Guardia who is hard-working and is a problem solver, Glaiza will give life to strong and passionate Yannie La Guardia.

Working together for the first time ever, the two said they didn't have difficulty building rapport. Glaiza said among the things that helped her ease up was Xian's outgoing personality.

"Bukod sa napaka matipunong lalaki niya at cute, charming, nakakatawa talaga siyang tao," she said. "Hindi ko inexpect 'yon sa kanya. Akala ko sobrang seryoso niyang tao na parang walang humor sa life."

"May mga ginagawa siyang hindi expected so may mga adlib siyang binibigay ta's matatawa na lang ako tapos may mga eksena talaga na ang taas-taas ng energy niya," she added.

No date has been announced for the premiere yet, but Xian already shared behind-the-scenes footage and made fans kilig and excited for their love team.

"False Positive" will also star Nova Villa, Rochelle Panganiban, and Buboy Villar, among others.
