Instead of floats, 8 ferry boats wow at the MMFF 2021's fluvial Parade of Stars
The Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 has officially begun!
To mark the festivities, eight ferry boats representing each movie in this year's lineup gathered at the fluvial Parade of Stars held on Sunday afternoon.
From the Guadalupe Ferry Station going to Circuit Makati, the stars welcomed supporters while on their extravagant boats designed to show the unique aspects of their offerings for the festival.
Among the stars present were Rita Daniela and Ken Chan of "Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw," Christian Bables of "Big Night," and Raymond Bagatsing of "Nelia."
This is a new take on the Parade of Stars, which is usually done on land, as it returns this year after the festival was held online last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The film festival will run from December 25 to January 8.
Cinemas started reopening in November as restrictions eased in Metro Manila.
