Boots Anson Roa says starring on ‘Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune’ drama feels like homecoming


Boots Anson Roa has revealed that being part of the new drama “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune” felt like a homecoming.

During the series’ press conference on Friday, the veteran actress revealed that she had starred in about five “Mano Po” films.

“I felt like a fish thrown into water, into familiar territory,” Boots said in Filipino.

“It also felt like an alumni homecoming since in the seven films of the ‘Mano Po’ franchise, I was I think in five.”

On “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune,” a television adaptation of the film franchise, Boots will play a fearless woman who is behind the success of a family business.

Aside from Boots, other stars such as Sunshine Cruz, Barbie Forteza, Maricel Laxa, Rob Gomez, and David Licauco will also be featured in the series.

The new series is set to premiere on GMA in January. – RC, GMA News
