Ruby Rodriguez gets recognition from Gawad Amerika Foundation

Ruby Rodriguez was given recognition by the Gawad Amerika Foundation (GAF) in the United States.

On Instagram, Saturday, the actress and TV host shared the news with photos of her in a proudly Filipino outfit as she smiles and holds onto her award.

“I’m honored and my heart is filled for the recognition and honor you have given me Gawad Amerika,” she wrote in the caption. “Maraming Salamat po.”

“I will work harder for all of you to be worthy of this honor. To God be the glory,” she added.

Apart from her loved ones, Ruby also dedicated her win to “Eat Bulaga,” “Owe My Love,” GMA Network, and her “new family,” the Philippine Consulate General Los Angeles (PCGENLA).

Among those whom she gave a special mention to were Senate Pres. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, and Pauleen Luna.

The comments section of her update has been showered with congratulatory messages from her fellow Dabarkads including Pauleen, Paolo Ballesteros, and Ryzza Mae Dizon.

GAF, according to its website, recognizes the achievements of Filipinos who excel in their field of interest.

Last May, Ruby started a new job in Los Angeles to provide for her son Don AJ, who suffers from dyslexia.
